If you are a normal student, you think you have no skills and why would someone hire you. You feel that you are still learning and there is no way to compete with others.

But the companies still do, they will come to your college and hire you based on a few rounds on interview. They see some value in you and will want you to join their organisation.

They do it NOT as a favour to you, but simply because they understand your potential and the things that you can help them achieve.

But the real underlying truth is

Nobody cares what you can do, everybody cares what you can do for them.

The Indian education system is/was built to bring you to college and give as much theoretical knowledge as possible. Gradually, there seems to be some focus on giving hands on experience while studying (which is good).

With the traditional approach, what you (as engineering students) don’t acquire is the mindset of delivery and outcomes.

And to achieve that, you have to get your hands dirty as early as possible.
